Day 3: Madrid, Spain ----> Barcelona, Spain

Woke up to the door wide open and the cleaning lady banging on our door today - strange. We then prepared ourselves for a tour of Madrid given by Pelner. Pelner likes seeing touristy stuff and likes to take lots of pictures of them. I was close to stealing his camera.
Anyway, we spent our day walking around Madrid sweating our balls off looking for a place to let us take a nap because we still haven't really slept. So, after a long day of walking, we were ready to sleep anywhere. Yet, no one was friendly enough to let us borrow their beds. I think it was because we had John with us - and most people either laugh, take pictures, or get scared by his appearance. Plus, he hadn't showered in days and forgot to change his underwear.
We visited Madrid's really big park, checked out the cool train station with the rainforest in it, and then made our way to some big palace that we just looked at from the front door. So, basically we just walked a lot and saw some Spanish things. And after all of this, Pelner finally let us go back to the hostel and pass out.
After a good 3 hour nap and a 2 hour game of poker, our time in Madrid was over. So, we headed to the train station.
Another random funny moment of EuroTrip involving Smeagol - Smeagol got his water weaseled away from him by some smelly bum before we got on our 9 hour overnight trip to Barcelona.
Our first train ride we reserved a six person cabin figuring it would be nice to sleep. And it was because we could have slept anywhere that night. But really, it was rather close quarters. John's feet we preventing most of us from falling asleep, and since we had been sweating for days without a shower, it was rather uncomfortable. But then again...when in europe, do as Rohn does! And then we fell asleep.
