Since my page has been seeing a great deal of activity lately, I have decided to get in a post or two - the ladies demand it!

I'm spending my time in Minneapolis, MN this summer working for Ryan Companies and have had a couple eventful weekends that I thought I might want to look back on in a few years. July 10th, I had the Life Time Fitness Triathlon in Minneapolis. This was my first race in almost a year, and its the first race in the Series - so its a big deal for pros (winners get $60,000). I ended up doing as well as I could have personally, I didn't place like I wanted to though. I raced a 2:20, got 6th in my age group, and ended up q
ualifying for nationals in Dallas at the end of the season. Overall, it was a great race and I pushed hard the entire time. The finish was pretty anti-climatic though because I didn't have any of my brothers there to go to the bar with and rehydrate with the Turkey.
The best thing about not knowing anyone there at all, was that I felt completely comfortable racing in my stinker speedo. My normal triathlon spandex wore a little thin this winter from all the chlorine - resulting in some serious dumpy butt action that isn't attractive or comfortable. So, instead of spending another $50 on somethin
g I could really live without, I thought my speedo was a viable option.
Wearing a speedo to race is not typical triathlon behavior, as most everyone swims in a wet suit to begin with. But, i figure the humor of my speedo, it does say "stinker" on the back and has a picture of a skunk on the front, would make light of the situation and pass without much problem.
Turns out - I raced the entire way in my speedo, accepting a few "Stinker" cheers on the way, and it went very smooth. No weird rashes or anything! I hope you enjoy the photos.
