I wish I had something fun to write about, like a good old-fashion college story or two, but i really don't have anything very news worthy to share. I think part of the reason is because I still go to Notre Dame, and the other is that I really haven't done much since mine and Rohn's epic roadtrip over christmas break. Although I don't have anything very substantial to write about, I did make some pretty important decisions over the past month.
I have decided to apply to grad school for next year. I've been pretty busy applying to programs to get my Master's in Accounting. And, since i'm a finance major, it hasn't been very easy. My semester quickly went from the easiest course load of my college career, to the hardest. I was looking forward to just hanging and laying a lot more than I am right now. I ended up picking up two accounting classes for this semester, and plan on finishing 3 more over the summer so I can meet the prerequisites for the programs I am applying to. On top of that, all of the application deadlines are March 1, so my month has been packed with applications, studying for the GMAT, training, and my regular classes I still have to take.
I am pretty excited to have some sort of direction for next year. I have been trying to figure out what I want to do, or who will accept me to work for them. This decision kinda solves both of those problems. I applied to ND, BGSU, Texas, USC, Arizona State, and Tennessee. I'm really hoping I can get out of ND and the midwest in general for a year and have the experience of another college's campus, etc.
Besides the craziness of this whole career transformation, I have been getting back into my training regimen since getting back to school. Unfortunately, all this work has taken away a lot of training hours for me. I got pretty fat over the holidays, per usual, but I'm finally feeling pretty good about where I am at this point. Only 7 more months now to get ready for Wisconsin.
I've been so busy I haven't even gone to bowling. It's kinda sad - I don't even have any pictures to post or videos to share yet. But, spring break is only 3 weeks away and I plan on making up for lost time over that short week.
