Day 5: Barcelona, Spain

After an unbelievable night, and a much needed full nights rest, we started our day with some more Pelner led tours. This time, we visited a huge church in the middle of the city. Pretty cool, but not cool enough to trick John, Bulfin, and I into paying 8 euros to see. Instead we played caught in the park while we waited for the real tourists to get back. And by the time Pelner, Smeagol, and Pat came out, we had already steaked out the one of our best decisions of our trip - all you can eat and drink buffet! Good decision, even though Bulfin kept drinking the non-alcoholic beer they had. And with nothing left on Pelner's schedule, we headed back to the beach so John could show off his cool speedo and work on his beeter tan again.
John cooked us another pasta dinner tonight as Smeagol took the rest of our euros in poker. Bulfin and John opted out of the civilized games with the rest of us, and resorted to a one on one games of kings "in my ass." Very inappropriate. This was way before our schedule drinking time - as both John and Bulfin both found out later.
So, tonight we planned a pub crawl. John and Bulfin led the way to the first pub, showing the whole town their cool "Weekend at Bernie's" walk. Bulfin made it to the first bar where he passed out on the table for the second time this trip. And surprisingly, John made it to the second bar before both he and Bulfin retreated to the room for the night.
The rest of us made it through the night. And, as it turned out, i discovered the greatness in what is called "Doner Kebab." The most delicious foreign food i have ever had even though it is basically dog or cat meat rolled up into a delicious wrap or pita and served with some spicy red sauce or this white sauce. Its like the CrunchWrap of Europe. So i had two.
