Day 8: Cinque Terre, Italy

For the second time on this trip. and much to my surprise, i woke up to John's whiskers on my face. And after a long night of celebrating Nic's birthday with P-Dog and Nic, it was a rough morning, especially for Nic. But, the rest of us didn't have time to be girls, we had a lot of hiking to do. So, John led the way in his american flag Chucks (also known as mocassins - quiet feet) as Pelner mapped out the course, and Pat, Smeagol, and I just followed. But first, to explain a little, Cinque Terre is basically 5 small villages, located on the water and on some baby mountains in the forests of Italy. And they have this trail through the hills and such that connect the 5 villages. We decided to hike the 8 clicks and 10,000 steps of mountainous terrain. We made it there, but we took the train back.
So, after an exhausting morning, we decided to head to our favorite place (no, not the bar) - the beach. And this is when i realized something. If y0u actually take some time and looked at John for a little bit, you most likely start to laugh, and can't really think of one thing that would make him look like more of a slob. But then, as we were on the beach, he fell asleep on his Sports Illustrated, started drooling, and when he woke up, he had half of the page printed on his face. And thats when i realized Rohn just has a nack for looking beautiful.
After tracking down the rest of the group and eating our nightly dinner together, another night at the bar turned into John almost falling off his chair from his first dip and Nic and I playing war in the party room while Smeagol and Pelsner went to bed.
