Day 9: Cinque Terre, Italy ----> Pisa, Italy ----> Rome, Italy

Woke up early for the one hundredth time in a row today, and I'm not even mad! Left the village of Cinque Terre and jumped on the one hour train to Pisa, the city with nothing to show for itself but a silly leaning tower. As tour guide champion of the world, Pelner strategically planned this stop into our train schedule, as most master tour super heros would. So Pelner provided us with 2 hours in Pisa before we had to get on our real train to go to Rome. So, we spent those two hours sweating through our underwear carrying our bags around so we could see the leaning tower. It was okay.
Our next train led us to Rome. Pelner forgot to reserve seats for us so we ended up seated throughout the entire train. Eventually though, Pat, Smeagol, Nic, and I made our way to the bar car and started up our own fun in games - gin rummy style! Meanwhile, Kat was passed out surrounded by foreign strangers (John counting as one of those foreigners), and John ate his staple food - bread and cheese. Anyway, we finally made it to Rome in search of a new tour guide, John Kelly - the perfect man. We were staying with John so he showed us around the city a bit, basically everything interesting and important someone would ever want to know about Rome. And then he took us out to his favorites bars, showing us the effects of too many "multi forte" drinks. Which only resulted in John getting a good head butt (typical P-Dog move), Pants telling great stories at about the time her nose got stuck in her glass, Mickey's bar, Smeagol and Pat staying up til 6 the next morning playing cards, and us almost getting kicked out of another hostel for being too loud. Oh well, you can only drink black russians with certain people..
